3 New Openings

The Plymouth-Whitemarsh-Conshohocken area has been abuzz recently with three new restaurant/bar openings. From rustic Italian to cozy pub to full-scale brewery, all are great additions to the dining scene.

Bar Lucca

The owners of The Stone Rose bought the old Totaro’s last year and remade it into a modern, yet rustic Italian bistro. The perfect place to share small inventive plates and interesting cocktails. Menu highlights: housemade burrata, lardo bruschetta, bucatini and brick oven pizzas.

Brittingham’s

People in Lafayette Hill had been waiting rather impatiently for Brittingham’s to reopen after it was closed last year for renovations. The result does not disappoint. The updated multi-room establishment is unrecognizable from its dark, former self. We haven’t eaten there yet (tried a few times, but couldn’t get it!), but the bar scene in very lively on Friday and Saturday nights.

Barren Hill Tavern

Just two doors down from Brittingham’s, Barren Hill Tavern reopened on the very same weekend. After being bought by the owners of Devil’s Den and Old Eagle Tavern in the city, Barren Hill Tavern maintains the historic charm and brewery of the General Lafayette Inn. Menu highlights: arugula and beet salad, wagyu burger, specials of the day and beer tasting flights.

Stay tuned for another new hot spot – Conshohocken Brewing Company – coming in the Spring.
