Where Have I Been?
Back in August, I had mentioned that we sold my house and moved to Matt’s in Norristown. Well, since then we sold that house, and have moved again! Our third address in less than six months.
The good news is we found a great house in a wonderful and convenient location. And the neighbors are awesome, too!
We’ve been spending much more time in Lowe’s and Home Depot than dining out,
but we’ve still managed to check out some of the best spots in the neighborhood.
Right here in Plymouth Meeting/Lafayette Hill, the Lucky Dog Saloon & Grille is a laid back bar/restaurant that serves eclectic food and craft beers. Tony Roni’s has become my go-to pizza place, especially when people are coming over to visit or work on the house. They make the best tomato pie in Philly, in my opinion.
We are very close to both Chestnut Hill and Conshohocken, each of which have cute little downtown areas. In Chestnut Hill, a sandwich at McNally’s Tavern never disappoints. Home of the famous “Schmitter,” McNalley’s also serves a number of hot and cold sandwiches, but nothing more.
The Stone Rose is a welcome newcomer to Conshohocken, serving upscale food and drinks, such as braised short rib mac ‘n cheese, Parmesan polenta fried and rustic potato gnocchi. As I write this, I’m thinking about using the gift certificate we got for Christmas tonight.
